Louis Tomlinson has pulled out of his headline performance on Friday night's Comic Relief following his younger sister Félicité's death on Wednesday.

The One Direction star, 27, was due to perform his new single which was written about his late mother Johannah, who died from cancer in 2016.

Félicité, 18, was found dead at her Earls Court, West London home from a suspected heart attack on Wednesday lunchtime, leaving Louis 'devastated.'

The Sun report that Louis was scheduled to perform his latest single Two Of Us as part of the BBC's Comic Relief live coverage on Friday but has since pulled out of the fundraiser.

The song is a tribute to the singer's late mother and includes the lyrics:  'You'll never know how much I miss you. The day that they took you, I wish it was me instead.'

Johannah died in 2016 at the age of 43 after a year-long battle with the leukemia.

Louis told BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat that playing the song to his younger sisters Felicite, Charlotte, Daisy and Phoebe was a 'tough one'.

'Just to hear the answerphone

'Yeah, I know that you won't get this

'You'll never know how much I miss you

'The day that they took you, I wish it was me instead'

'Me as their big brother - if I can sing those words it'll hopefully help them too,' he explained, while also admitting he will be 'drifting off thinking of mum' while performing the song.

Louis previously discussed the song to House Of Solo magazine, admitting he avoided writing it for a while for fear of not getting it right.

He said: 'I just feel like, musically, I almost needed to get this song off my chest.

'People say writing is a part of therapy. In a way, I feel like I’d been avoiding writing this song because I knew I only had one chance to get it right.

'I don’t mean to be too soppy but if Two of Us can help just one
