Ezra Miller is penning a darker Flash script with comics sage Grant Morrison ...

He's not happy with the direction his superhero flick is going.

Justice League star Ezra Miller is reportedly at work on a new screenplay for The Flash, his upcoming solo DC comics film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The 26-year-old actor is collaborating with legendary comic book writer Grant Morrison, 59, on the new script, which has a significantly darker tone than the film's original screenplay.

The We Need To Talk About Kevin star originally clashed with the film's directors, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, over its light-hearted and humor-filled screenplay.

Daley, who's best known to the public as an actor, played Sam Weir on Freaks And Geeks and Lance Sweets on Bones.

Later, he transitioned into writing and directing, where he showed off a talent for comedy and light comic book fare with Goldstein, his longtime co-writer and co-director.

The two have collaborated multiple times, mostly famously in directing 2018's Game Night and writing 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming.
