All Together Now and Casualty were cancelled on Saturday night after BBC One cleared its schedule for the football - much to the dismay of frustrated viewers. 

The channel removed the shows from its Saturday night line-up in favour of the FA Cup quarter-final between Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Coverage of the match kicked off at 7.30pm, after Pointless Celebrities, and continued until the 10pm news.

The shake up follows a week of television turmoil on the channel - with Holby City cancelled for the Brexit vote on Tuesday and Eastenders pulled in favour of Comic Relief on Friday.

ITV also took Loose Women off the air this week to make room for the Cheltenham Races.

And frustrated fans have unleashed their fury on social media
