Holly Willoughby has shared a rare snap of her three children as she enjoys a family trip to New York City.

The TV host, 38, rarely shows her children on social media and always ensures their faces are hidden when she does.

The presenter shared a photo of Harry, nine, Belle, seven and Chester, four, walking in the Big Apple while their father Dan Baldwin can be seen ahead of them.

Holly wrote alongside the snap: 'The best of Times (Square) with these four.'

The TV star's fans recently rushed to her defence as trolls criticised her for travelling to New York after her beloved grandmother's death earlier this month.

Holly shared a beaming Instagram snap of herself in one of the city's signature yellow taxis from her recent trip to Manhattan on Sunday, and captioned the image: 'See you Big Apple... thank you for having me... ❤️'.

While trolls claimed she hasn't shown 'much sign of grieving', her loyal fanbase hit back at the 'insensitive' comments and encouraged the presenter to 'have fun' following her sad loss.

Pass away last week thought you would not be in the mood for holidays being such a family person ???'. [sic]

Another wrote on the site: 'I agree with jacquelinerowan not much sign of grieving.'

'Well us in Ireland have respect for the dead and have a period of grieving', a third added.
