But Perrie Edwards' date night may have put a stopper on plans after it ended in disaster on Sunday when the Little Mix singer's cat didn't take a shine to her beau.
The songstress, 25, documented the hilarious encounter on her Instagram page as she and Alex, also 25, started off their morning with a stack of pancakes.

She shared a cheeky snap of her shirtless beau flaunting his footballers physique with the caption: 'Peanut butter, jam and him on my pancakes please'.
After the pair indulged in a lavish dinner they arrived home to Perrie's 14-year-old cat Jack who recently moved in with the couple.
Perrie captioned the clip: 'My childhood cat just moved in. Time for these two to bond...'.

But the process was easier said than done as Alex tried his best to win round a stubborn Jack but was rewarded with a scratched hand.
Perrie was undeterred in her efforts and convinced Alex to try pick Jack up again but in the comical encounter the cat slipped through his hands.
After containing her laughter, the singer burst into song: 'Slipping through my fingers all the time'.
