Luke Perry will be honored on Riverdale, the show's creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa said Sunday.

Aguirre-Sacasa, speaking with Entertainment Tonight in Los Angeles Sunday, said that plans were in the works for an onscreen memorial to the actor, who played Fred Andrews on the Archie adaptation, after his death at 52 earlier this month after suffering a massive stroke.

'We are I think all still in shock and are all still processing and grieving,' Aguirre-Sacasa told the outlet. 'We know that we have to address it in some way, but we're giving ourselves a little bit of time and space before we figure out the best way to honor him.'

Aguirre-Sacasa said that no decisions have been made about how Perry's passing will be dealt with on The CW series. 

Perry died March 4, about five days after he suffered a massive stroke at his Sherman Oaks, California home on February 27.
