His short brunette locks have been his go-to look for the vast majority of his career.

But Channing Tatum opted for a change on Tuesday as he bleached his hair, turning it peroxide blond.

The 38-year-old actor asked his followers on his Instagram Stories about their thoughts on his new 'do.

'Bad idea?' wrote Tatum over a photo of his freshly dyed locks with a Yes or No poll box below the words.

In the image, the 21 Jump Street star stood shirtless in a mirror and pointed towards his hair, possibly feeling regret about the loss of his brunette tresses.

He donned a gold cross around his neck and had a dusting of scruff across his chin.

In his next Instagram Story, he posted the words, 'Well, bad ideas are sort of my thing. So... (man shrugging emoji).
