Netflix has issued a series order for an untitled coming of age TV series from The Mindy Project creator Mindy Kaling.
Kaling will co-create the series alongside her Mindy Project executive producer Lang Fisher, which was given a 10-episode order, according to Deadline.
Kaling will co-write the pilot script with Fisher, who will both also serve as showrunners and executive producers.

The series centers on the, 'complicated life of a modern-day first generation Indian American teenage girl.'
The show will be inspired by Kaling’s own childhood, though it's unclear if the show will be set in her hometown of Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Kaling, 39, was born to Indian parents, who immigrated to America the year Mindy was born.
