The heartbreaking event still haunts sports journalist Erin Molan, more than a 10 years on. 

And on Thursday, the Nine Network journalist spoke candidly about her sister Sarah Sutton's tragic stillbirth.

Erin, 36, told Who magazine: 'I remember the little casket being carried down [the aisle] at her funeral and Sarah was just standing there whispering, "Mummy is so, so sorry. She loves you".'

Sarah's daughter, Emily, was born approximately 40 hours after she died.

Erin, who is mum to nine-month-old Eliza Emily Ogilvy, with fiancé Sean Ogilvy, said she was forever changed by the tragedy.

'I saw firsthand the devastation and impact giving birth to a stillborn baby can have on a family, and it's something you can never recover from,' Erin told the publication.
