The model's posts come after she defended Love Island in the wake of claims that reality TV shows should be doing more to offer better aftercare to contestants.

The former grid girl shot to fame on the 2017 series of the ITV2 programme alongside the late Mike Thalassitis, who was found dead on Saturday at the age of just 26.

Olivia hit back at those blaming Love Island for her co-star's death, calling the claims 'totally ludicrous' and crediting the show for 'saving her life'.

Commenting on the backlash, the reality star insisted it is not the show that should be held accountable.

She told The Sun: 'People are angry and they want someone to blame. Mike was in turmoil and a lot of his problems weren’t to do with Love Island at all.

'It isn’t an aftercare situation but a before care. You need to be obligated to do a certain amount of therapy before going on Love Island to prepare you.'

Olivia said that appearing on the dating series allowed her to learn self-acceptance after previously being on antidepressant medication.
