However after finally deciding on who they wanted to take the plunge with, Megan and Pete headed to 'The Rife' with their respective flames, Tom and Dani.
But the former couple still found some time for each other during the trip, as they settled down for a drink together on a rooftop bar to discuss their experience.
Pete admitted that their trip to Tenerife together was the best holiday they've ever had, despite enjoying many sunny jaunts together during their relationship.

During his chat with Megan, he said: 'What a random scenario this is! Here’s to our best ever holiday, how sad is that! Best holiday together and we’re not even together.'
Megan replied: 'That’s really sad! I just never thought in a million years that you and me in Tenerife, on a roof top bar, having a drink and actually talking. I’m so glad I joined the agency at the same time as you. Do you know what, we used to be friends.'
Pete quipped back: 'That’s the thing, people always used to see us as that nutty pair of lunatics who were always rowing, actually behind all that we get on. Listen, you’re a good girl and whoever does end up with you is a lucky geezer. I mean that.'
Megan was also keen to compliment her former beau, adding: You’re not too bad yourself. Do you know what? I look at you as one of my good friends, actually. That’s really weird because I actually do.
Pete said: 'When we started this process we hadn’t spoken and now at the end of it I can talk to you and feel really comfortable talking to you. It’s a really nice thing. I think out of this whole thing what I’ve gained is a good friend. I wish you all the best.'
The celebrities have all spent the four weeks trying find the perfect plus one to take to Tenerife, which some proving more successful than others.

One person who was particularly excited to see them was Sam Thompson, who did a running jump into Pete's arms and declared that he nearly got a flight home to drag him out to the holiday destination.
Megan and Pete declared that 'obviously' they were the ones who were stuck at home deliberating over who to take on the romantic break.
Her date Tom was on hand to welcome her to the island with an intimate date on a luxury yacht where they shared a glass of bubbly and a selection of nibbles.
