Last month he was forced to deny running his now defunct Instagram fan page amid rumours he was chasing fame long before starring on Married At First Sight.

And on Friday, comedian Ash Williams revealed that 44-year-old electrician Mike Gunner hit him up for advice on how to land a TV role when the pair both appeared on a recent episode of Talking Married.

'He just came up to me after the show and was pretty keen to chat,' the funnyman told news.com.au

'He said, "Hey Ash, I want to talk to you about getting into the media. I want to get into the media. I love the media".' 

Ash explained to him that the sector was quite broad and inquired if it was 'TV or radio' he was after.

'Mike goes, "Nah, I feel like I’m more TV, in front of the camera".'
