He's very supportive of my artistic choices but he did say at one point, "When is this over?"' In the MA-rated movie, Nicole plays anti-heroine Erin who is pulled into an old case after the ringleader of a gang she had tried to infiltrate re-emerges. The Hours star underwent a significant makeover for her role, wearing prosthetics to age her famous face and transform her into a weather-beaten, world-weary cop. 'For Destroyer, I had to stay in character, which is what I did on The Hours, as well as Paper Boy,' Nicole told the Gold Coast Bulletin on Wednesday. 'It was a commitment that I was willing to take because artistically, there are certain things where you go, "This is going to cost me and my family to do this, but it's the artistic path",' she added.
