And on Saturday, Rebel Wilson was in Melbourne to catch the opening night of Muriel's Wedding The Musical. 

The Hollywood star led the celebrity arrivals at Her Majesty's Theatre in a fitted black dress with long sleeves.

With a wrap feature at the bust, the long-sleeved frock showed off the beauty's curves. 

Wearing her blonde hair in a half-up do that featured soft curls around her shoulders, Rebel opted for a soft pink makeup palette with a glossy rose lip. 

She completed the look with a pair of 1980s style black and white heels with a pointed tip.

Also at the event was Natalie Bassingthwaighte, who stars in the musical, and opted for an unusual pair of loose grey pants. 

The 43-year-old paired the trousers with a matching slate toned blazer under which she wore a black camisole. 

The singer, who carried a white Chanel purse, beamed as she was handed a bunch of flowers.

Making her mark on the red carpet was Rachel Griffiths, who starred in the original 1994 film. 

The 50-year-old wore a black skirt with a high split that showed off a hint of her slim pins, matched with black, opal toned, abstract top. 

She completed the look with a pair of sparkly, heeled sandals, and opted for a subtle makeup palette including soft pink lipstick.
