The 25-year-old singer was seen looking at his phone as he walked through London Heathrow Airport before he boarded his flight to the United Arab Emirates to perform at The Global Teacher Prize Assembly concert on Saturday. Bedroom Floor hitmaker Liam, who will join Little Mix and Rita Ora at the event held at Dubai Media City's Amphitheatre, donned a red sport jacket with a pair of black skinny jeans for the long-haul flight. A source told the publication: 'Liam is due to take to the stage 7.30pm local time on Saturday, which is 3.30pm in the UK. 'Flights take seven hours so at best Liam could be in the England for some of Bear's birthday on Friday but logistically it is almost impossible for him to be there for the full day. 'Liam could to go straight from the airport to the venue but going from a long-haul flight to the stage would be draining.' Although he was forced to cut the celebrations short, he managed to enjoy time with his son before jetting out of London that night. Just hours before his trip, he marked the big day with a sweet Instagram tribute, where he called the baby his whole 'world,' while posting a very rare glimpse of the tot as a pictured captured them holding hands. In the sweet photo, Liam's right thumb - inked with an 'L' and wings tattoo - is gripped inside tiny Bear's whole hand. Marking the occasion: Last year, he marked the big day with a sweet Instagram tribute, where he called the baby his whole 'world' Although Liam and Cheryl called their romance quits nine months age, they have been successfully co-parenting Bear and even spent Christmas Day together. The singers were rumoured to be spending the holiday 'as a family'; and Cheryl, 35, has since confirmed this. Speaking to The Sun, she said: 'There's no animosity whatsoever. In fact, Liam spent Christmas Day with us. He cooked the turkey and everything at our home. His family came on the 23rd, and then he was in the house before I woke up on Christmas Day.'
