Previous series of police drama Line Of Duty has seen it's guest actors written out early or subjected to a tense investigation by AC-12.

And with 10.4 million fans waiting to see what happens in series five, newcomers Stephen Graham and Rochenda Sandall spoke to Radio Times about whether their characters will fall prey to the tradition.

Stephen, 45, is set to take on the role of John Corbett who is reportedly the head of Balaclava Men, an organised crime outfit whose robberies and shootings have punctuated previous series.

The This Is England star explained that he was sent the first two scripts when he got the part, leading to speculation about whether his character would live to see the end of the series.

He added: 'Even now, nobody really expects a lead to be killed off early, but Jed has created suspense. Are they going to get killed in this episode?'.
