MAFS fans divided over Ines Basic's 'Hollywood' court appearance

Married At First Sight fans are divided over Ines Basic's sensational court appearance in Brisbane on Tuesday, with some branding her 'delusional' while others claim it was a successful PR stunt.

The 29-year-old legal assistant had pleaded guilty to mid-range drink driving at  Cleveland Magistrates Court and was sentenced to 70 hours of community service and disqualified from driving for three months. 

But it was her 'Hollywood-style' arrival at court - complete with bodyguard, Mercedes-Benz limousine and all-black designer ensemble - that sparked fierce debate on social media.

Ines has blocked comments on her Instagram account, so people instead flocked to the popular 'MAFS Funny' fan page to discuss her legal dramas.

Many expressed disbelief that her guilty plea attracted widespread media attention and also criticised her snooty attitude towards reporters outside the courthouse.  

One person wrote: 'They are treating her like a celebrity. Come on, seriously she's some halfwit who was on TV for like a minute!' 

Similar comments included: 'What's with the bodyguard? This bird things she's a star', 'Reminds me of a Chris Lilley character', 'She thinks she's a huge star... this is not LA', and '[She's] walking around like she's actually important'. 

However, Ines had plenty of supporters who said her sharply-dressed court appearance made them 'love her even more'.

Praise for Ines included, '[She's a] hot mess', 'Love her so much', 'I f**king love her! So funny', and 'This is so iconic'.
