MKR's Josh and Austin's sensational spray against the show

They've never been ones to hold back with their opinions during episodes of My Kitchen Rules.

And in an interview with Daily Mail Australia on Tuesday, the series' 'villains' Austin and Josh Bonwick came out swinging against the Channel Seven reality show.

In a sensational spray, the brothers slammed their co-stars, compared 'sketchy' producers to 'something out of North Korea' and and advised would-be contestants to sign up for MasterChef or watch Gordon Ramsay videos on YouTube instead.

In dramatic episodes playing out on MKR this week, a bombshell is dropped at the dinner party when it is revealed rivals Piper O'Neill and Victor Aeberli are sleeping together.

But Josh and Austin claimed there is a reason the sex scandal is painting Victor and Piper in such a negative light.

'The only reason Victor and Piper are made to look like the super, super villains, the last villains is because they pissed production off.

'A lot of other people were sh*tty on the show and they could have gone another way with any of the teams.

'Anyone could have been the villain with how they were behaving. The only reason Victor and Piper are getting the short end of the stick is because they actually made things difficult for production every day.'

Austin added that the controversial 'knife spinning' incident which was heavily promoted in trailers caused chaos behind the scenes, frustrating production.

Explaining the aftermath of the incident and extra costs added to the production because of it, Austin said: 'They had to segregate Victor and have a separate hotels, different flights, separate Cabcharges and everything.'

Austin also claimed that while most of the contestants would sort out their disagreements in front of the cameras at the dinner parties, Victor had a different approach.

'With Victor, he'd go straight to the production and say "this person said this about me" and it would just make it so complicated,' Austin claimed.

Austin continued to call out MKR's producers and hints that there's a lot more drama behind the scenes than people realise.
