Adele cuts a low-key figure as she wraps up in a chunky black scarf

She is rumoured to be in New York recording new music.

And Adele did nothing to dispel the swirling speculation as she stepped out in the Big Apple, attempting to go incognito in a baker boy-style cap and big black scarf.

The Grammy-winning artist, 30, wrapped up warm in a loose-fitting black jumper and pair of billowing wide-legged trousers and chunky black boots. 

Adele toted a black leather bag on her arm, which was complete with an elegant gold chain and no doubt held all of her essentials for the outing.

Adele has mostly stayed out of the spotlight after the tour for her most recent album 25 concluded and concentrated on raising her six-year-old son Angelo. 

Fans have eagerly awaited Adele's return to the studio following her smash record, which earned the Grammy's Record of the Year award in 2017.
