Netflix's Cowboy Bebop live-action series finally has a cast, with John Cho announced today as protagonist Spike Spiegel.
The streaming service announced that Cho has been cast along with Daniella Pineda as Faye Valentine, Mustafa Shakir as Jet Black and Alex Hassell as Vicious.
It was also announced that Alex Garcia Lopez (The Witcher) is directing the first two episodes of this upcoming series.

More cast members will be confirmed soon, with Netflix confirming that Radical Ed will be featured int he series, but he has not yet been cast.
Cho's Spiegel has been described as an, 'impossibly cool bounty hunter with a deadly smile, a wry wit, and style to spare.'
Spiegel tracks down the most dangerous criminals throughout the solar system with, 'a combination of charm, charisma -- and deadly Jeet Kune Do.'

New Faye: Pineda's character Faye Valentine is descibed as a, 'bold, brash and unpredictable bounty hunter'
Spike's partner Jet Black was described as, 'one of the few honest cops in the solar system before an ultimate betrayal robbed him of all that he loved.'
This forced him into a 'vagabond life of hunting bounties to put food on the table,' and he's described as, 'an inveterate jazz enthusiast.'
He is also the Captain of the ship known as The Bebop.
