Alex Jones discusses her 'horrible' baby blues after birth of son Teddy, two

She is eagerly awaiting the birth of her second child, telling fans on Monday she is on the 'homeward stretch'. 

And Alex Jones has admitted she is 'slightly terrified' about becoming a mother of two as she discussed her pregnancy on Guide Dogs' new series podcast, I See What You're Saying. 

In a candid chat, The One Show presenter, 42, spoke about her 'horrible baby blues' when her son Teddy, two, was born, how she found breastfeeding 'worse than birth' and what life is like raising a toddler.

Speaking about her second child's impending arrival, she said: 'Everybody has nerves about being a mum and being a parent. 

'Pregnancy for any woman is a period of excitement, also slightly terrifying as you don't know what to expect. Even with your second it's like: "how am I going to do two?"

'Mum was amazing at the beginning, when we first had Teddy, for the first three weeks –thankfully.  I don't know how we would have done it without her.'

Alex, who is married to Charlie Thomson and announced her second pregnancy back in December, also discussed post natal depression, saying she 'didn't experience it fully' when she had Teddy but definitely felt the 'baby blues'.   

Speaking to pregnant Libby Clegg MBE, the Paralympic gold medallist and Hetal Bapodra, a blind mum of two sighted children, she said: 'There's a lot of talk about post natal depression at the beginning, it can affect anyone of us.

'It is a horrible, horrible feeling. Because you should be feeling this incredible joy and you just feel like everything is so
