Bill Hader's HBO series Barry gets renewed for a third season following trio of Emmy wins

Bill Hader's series Barry was renewed by HBO for a third season, the network announced Wednesday.

The dark comedy casts Hader, 40, in the titular role of Barry Berkman, a hired killer from the Midwest who takes up acting amid a trip to Los Angeles.

The show won three Emmys last fall, with Hader capturing the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series) and Winkler winning Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, in addition to the honors for Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series.
