This age old adage is one Amy Adams, 44, knows well, as the red head was spotted throwing her head back while laughing as she grocery shopped with her husband in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The couple bought a birthday cake and balloon before heading out to someone's big day.

While leaving Bristol Farms in Beverly Hills, the goddess couldn't contain her excitement as she walked out carrying the party favors.

With a summery, low cut navy blue dress on, Adams looked insanely happy on the run.

She wore tan heel mules and matched them with a rectangular tan purse.

As she opened her mouth wide to let out a snicker, she looked at her husband of four years, Darren Le Gallo, 44, with nothing but adoration.

Both lovers had on sunglasses and Amy's bright hair was pinned back.  

The Sharp Objects star carried a small pink box, likely filled with a birthday treat and a large round decorative balloon was secured tightly in her grasp.
