Kim Kardashian has revealed she is studying law and hopes to pass her Californian bar exam in 2022.

However hours later, Waleed Aly, 40, was seen laughing off the US reality television star's legal pursuits during a live segment on Thursday's episode of The Project.

Waleed, who completed his law degree and has previously worked as an associate, solicitor and lawyer for several years, playfully urged Kim, 38, to recognise the different between the bar exam and a retail outlet that serves alcoholic beverages.

Comedian Peter Helliar initiated the conversation, as he was seen quizzing his legal eagle co-star about whether this a 'good day for the legal profession?'

Waleed immediately burst into laughter at the sheer audaciousness of the question.

Seconds later guest panelist Rachel Corbett was seen commenting on Waleed's rather cavalier reaction.

'I don't have any special talents... but I reckon I can read Waleed's mind right now,' she remarked.

Waleed chuckled again before quickly changing tack and praising Kim's legal ambitions, sharing: 'No good on her.'

'I just hope she knows the bar exam isn't what it sounds like - it's not a great time. It's got nothing to do with the bar,' he added.
