David Knox, the editor of respected industry website TV Tonight, said on Friday that it may not have been necessary to air the entire conversation uncensored. He argued that the discussion 'hinted at some very personal places' and producers could have edited the scene in a way that didn't make viewers 'jump to conclusions'. Richie, who is based in Perth, then said that Alex had 'changed the date' numerous times and he was unable to travel at short notice due to work commitments. 'But that doesn't matter!' Alex replied. 'If you're a man and you're in that situation, you move mountains to be there for your partner.'
