She will be honored next month for her 'bravery and strength' at the 26th Annual Race To Erase MS Gala which was founded by multimillionaire and MS sufferer Nancy Davis.
And on Thursday, Selma Blair demonstrated some of those characteristics as she ran some errands in Los Angeles using a cane as a walking aid.
The actress, 46, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in August last year and went public with the news in October.

Difficulty walking is the more obvious sign of her condition.
But Blair has shared other effects she is dealing with as a result of having the disease that affects the central nervous system and for which there is no cure.
Earlier in the week, the Cruel Intentions star explained via her https://www.instagram.com/p/BwBVh7Nn5x9/ that she is losing her eye lashes.
Alongside a close-up photo of herself with some flowers. she wrote: 'My right eyelashes all fell out except 3 corner ones. Happened in end of August. Haven’t regrown!'
She added: 'just started falling out in left eye so there goes my profile posing.'
