Barbara Windsor's husband Scott Mitchell admitted his wife's memory loss always surprises him amid her Alzheimer's battle when he joined Natalie Cassidy on This Morning.
During Monday's segment of This Morning, the pair talked about running the London Marathon to raise money for a dementia campaign in honour of the EastEnders legend.
Scott, 56, shared how his wife, 81, remains 'changeable' amid her battle, now five years after her Alzheimer's diagnosis.

'It throws you every time.' He said. 'It's very changeable. It really is changeable.
'Sometimes we're having a lucid conversation laughing and then in a split second she will say have you stayed in this place? when we're in our front room.'
Scott recounted he noticed Barbara was becoming repetitive in the early stages of her Alzheimer's before she was dealt the diagnosis.
He said: 'I first realised it when things were happening within her personality. She was becoming very repetitive.

'She was having more trouble learning her lines with EastEnders. She left it reluctantly, she still loves watching it.'
He and Barbara kept the diagnosis secret for as long as possible until it was noticeable when the soap legend was approached in the street by admirers.
