The 50 year old 30 Rock star posed with the author and professional chef, and his husband of five years, actor Neil Patrick Harris.
The event, launched in conjunction with Capital One Savor credit card, was held at the Top of the Standard in New York City.

Life is a Party is the first cookbook for Burtka, who quit being an actor to become a professional chef, graduating from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Pasadena in the summer of 2009.
