Pete Davidson admits that he 'lives with his mom' and remodeled the basement ...

He was sitting pretty in a $16million high-rise apartment nearly one year ago.

But Pete Davidson admitted on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that he's taken a few steps back from his high-profile lifestyle and moved in with his mother.

The 25-year-old comedian 'bought a house' with his mom after moving out of his Chelsea-area abode with ex-fiancee Ariana Grande.

'So I live with my mom … well we bought a house together, but nobody believes that,' he told Fallon. 'So I have, like, a basement that’s mine, but that’s, like, an apartment, so I live underneath her.'

Pete said he planned to install a Mortal Kombat game in his basement arcade and flashed two thumbs up for adding a plug.

'I was calling it The Man Cave, but the Mulaneys told me that if I call it that they will no longer be my friend,' he told Jimmy.

Pete and John Mulaney worked together on Saturday Night Live and have become good friends through touring the comedy circuit.

'So, now I call it The Basement like The Ohio State University. I don’t like that college. It’s the "the" that’s the important part,' he made sure to note.

Pete and Ariana began dating in May with an engagement shortly following in June, and by the end of the month, moved into a massive love nest overlooking the city, according to People.

Their relationship took a turn for the worse later in the year and the pair called it quits and went their separate ways by October. Pete has since moved on with actress Kate Beckinsale.

He later joked about being 'lonely' during his chat show appearance Thursday in New York City.
