He's both the lead and executive producer in the live TV concert production of Jesus Christ Superstar.

However John Legend is already working on his next big project - a studio album and an Australian tour.

The 40-year-old told The Sunday Telegraph's Watch, that he plans on releasing new music by the end of 2019, and backing it up with concert dates Down Under.

'I'm excited with what we have got so far and I can't wait to come back to Australia,' John said.  

'I love it down there, so hopefully we will see you this year,' the 10-time Grammy winner added.

The last time John performed in Australia was back in 2014 for his All Of Me Tour.
