One of Australian's most loved dramas is returning to television screens after a long hiatus.
Foxtel announced today that Showcase's Wentworth will be returning for its seventh season on May 28.
The season, which filmed last year, was reportedly meant to be the last, however two more seasons have been picked up.

Speaking to the Herald Sun on Sunday, Kate Jenkinson, who plays inmate Allie Novak, revealed that the cast had been left in limbo until December last year.
'The writers did a good job of ending series seven so that if was to be the last episode ever made it would have given the audience closure,' Jenkinson said.
'But now they get to do another 20 episodes there's going to be some kind of Shakespearean epic
