Kerri-Anne Kennerley was left in floods of tears during an emotional interview with a war veteran on Studio 10 on Monday morning.
The 65-year-old was inconsolable as she sat beside former soldier Garry Robinson, who had had one of his legs amputated after being seriously injured in Afghanistan.
Kerri-Anne's husband of 35 years, John, died in February aged 78, after spending the last few years of his life in a wheelchair following a serious accident.
As Garry recounted his story and spoke about his involvement in the Invictus Games, the veteran TV host was seen growing visibly more and more upset.
'I'm sorry. I'm so sorry,' a hysterical Kerri-Anne told Garry in between sobs of tears, while grasping for his hand.
Meanwhile, fellow Studio 10 host Joe Hildebrand, 42, could be seen offering her a comforting pat on the back.

Seated on the other side of Garry was Cassandra Thornburn, 47, who could be seen leaning forward, while looking at Kerri-Anne with obvious concern.
As Joe proceeded with the interview, a visibly emotional Kerri-Anne tried her best to compose herself, wiping tears from her eyes.
She continued to sob, with her head angled towards the ground, as Joe tried hard to comfort her while still keeping the segment on track.
