Married At First Sight's Jules Robinson, 37, and Cameron Merchant, 35, held their star-studded engagement party in Sydney on Sunday night.

And following reports that guests were 'banned' from posting pictures to social media while at the event, further details have now emerged.

On Tuesday, Woman's Day claimed that the couple 'withheld all information from guests until the last minute', possibly to protect a potentially lucrative TV deal.

'You'd think Kim and Kanye were getting married,' a source told the publication.

In the days leading up the event, the source added: 'There was no indication of a venue, no formal invitation - we were told more information would follow.'

Inside the party, it is believed that guests were greeted with 'one free drink' upon arrival - but were required to buy their own throughout the night.  

The event, which was held at the Acre Eatery in Camperdown, was filmed exclusively for the Today show and boasted
