At the Tribeca Film Festival, the 40-year-old actress presented a filmmaker with a one million dollar check to help them create a feature-length movie.

The Batman Begins star joined a group of other movie industry peers at the AT&T: Untold Stories Film Competition, which took place on Monday during the Manhattan-based festival.
During the event, Katie was part of the committee that chose director Kate Tsang and producer Carolyn Mao as the winner of the one million dollar grand prize, which will go to a film that will premiere at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival.
The filmmakers were awarded the check for their movie Marvelous and the Black Hole, which follows a teenager 'who teams up with a surly children’s party magician on a bizarre adventure to navigate her tumultuous home life and inner demons.'
