Mike Thalassitis' Essex restaurant will open its doors for the first time on Saturday April 27 in memory of the late star. 

The Love Island star was found dead in a woodland near his Edmonton home aged 26 as it came to light that he was suffering depression. 

All the money raised on the launch weekend will be donated to mental health charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably).

The mental health charity help to bring awareness of depression in young men and develop practical resources to support those suffering. 

In a touching tribute, the reality star's business partner Scotty Neils made the announcement on social media with a heartfelt note calling Mike his 'brother'.

Alongside the heartwarming words, Scotty shared a black and white picture of himself with Mike to promote the opening of the restaurant.

He wrote: 'Brother we done it... Could never have done this without you. Officially opening 27th April.'

The Skillet will open on Saturday from 8am until 5pm; the Essex-based restaurant will be found on 154 High Road in Loughton, IG10 4BE.

On social media, it is described as a 'modern brunch eatery' which will feature skillet breakfasts from traditional Full English to Classic American Buttermilk Pancakes. 

Mike was lauded for working 'extremely hard' on the launch as a 'passionate' cook in a post shared on The Skillet's official Instagram which reaches 10,000 followers.

It said: 'Mike worked extremely hard on this launch. He was passionate about cooking and it was his dream to one day open a restaurant. 

'Together, we [Scotty and Mike] have created a first-rate breakfast bar we hope you will enjoy and we invite you all to come down and celebrate his love of good food.

'Look forward to seeing you all there!'

Montana Brown, who grew close to the late star during and after their time on Love Island, vowed to be at the launch.

With words of encouragement, the Love Island bombshell persuaded her 1,300,000 followers to join her at the opening of Mike's restaurant.

She said: 'The first one first and foremost the skillet is finally opening which is very exciting. It is mike’s café all the detail are in the tags here.

'It is finally completed and ready to rumble... I will be down there, I'm sure there will be some familiar faces. I cant wait for you to see the hard work him and Scott put into it.

'Mike worked so hard on The Skillet. It was his little project; he loves cooking and he’s very good at cooking.'

Shortly after his funeral, which was held in north London, his aunt Francesca Goldsmid launched the page alongside a lengthy statement which quashed claims the star, who passed away age 26, had been struggling financially.

While many reports have circulated regarding the reasons behind the tragedy, a prevalent claim has been that Mike was battling money woes, after his friend Montana Brown announced he had 'a massive tax bill'.

Friends, family and fellow reality TV stars descended upon Christ Church in Southgate to honour the tragic star who was found dead.

After a late entrance to Love Island's second season in 2017, Mike was at the heart of the drama before departing and being propelled into the spotlight after which Montana claimed he was struggling with the trappings of fame. 

Speaking on This Morning shortly after his death, she said: 'He didn't really know what to do for work and he wanted to be his own boss and he didn't know how to do that and I know he had a massive tax bill to be paid...

'I think the stress really got to him, and he kind of thought this fame wasn't what it was cracked up to be, where do I go now?... I don't know if it was a spur of the moment reason. I don't know if he had these demons he had to deal with.'
