An Australian DJ who became a viral sensation after wearing impossibly skimpy lingerie on Instagram has defended her controversial choice of underwear.
Amy-Jane Brand, who was dubbed 'the Queen of Coachella' for her provocative outfits at this year's festival, released a lengthy statement on Tuesday addressing the backlash to her photo.
'There's like six news articles about my "nude" bra, the lingerie that I posted like two days ago,' she told her Instagram followers.

'Personally, I feel like there are far bigger crises happening in the world right now, like Sri Lanka, climate change and the use of plastics,' she added.
'There's so many other things to be reporting on than my lingerie choices.
Amy-Jane continued: 'Just a little side note, I think that every woman should feel empowered. If they are feeling confident in their own skin, go for it.

On Saturday, Amy-Jane posed on Instagram in an outrageously skimpy two-piece, sparking a handful of news articles and heated debate on social media.
