Kem Cetinay claims Amber Davies was NEVER meant to be on Love Island's original line-up as he reveals Chris Hughes was only signed up a day AFTER the first episode aired

He won the 2017 series of Love Island with his now ex-girlfriend who has since become a West End star. 

But according to Kem Cetinay, Amber Davies was never meant to be part of the ITV2 show's original line-up, while best pal Chris Hughes didn't know he would be entering the villa until the day after the first episode aired.

Speaking to Holly Willougbhy and Phillip Schofield on Wednesday's episode of This Morning, the 2017 winner revealed that Amber was a last minute addition to the original cast, after bosses 'changed it' at the last minute.

As Love Island 2019 began filming this week, Kem explained: 'They also bring more than the original cast out there. They change it every day.

'Amber wasn't meant to go in and they changed it at the last minute. They will decide as you're out there who fits it at the time.'    

Kem also revealed that his best pal Chris Hughes - who is now dating Little Mix star Jesy Nelson - didn't know he would be entering the villa until after the 2017 series had begun, and only the day before he was flown out to join Love Island.

Kem said: 'I knew really early. I knew eight weeks before the show started. I was training and dieting.
