She is due to give birth to her second baby with husband Charlie Thomson.

And before signing off from her role as a One Show presenter and heading on maternity leave, Alex Jones shared a bikini selfie of her burgeoning bump on Thursday afternoon.

The TV presenter, 42, revealed that she was heading to work for her 'penultimate' day at the office, where she interviewed actress Emma Thompson alongside her co-presenter Matt Baker.

Alex posed in a stylish Aztec print bikini in a changing room mirror, and captioned the shot: 'About to pop! Penultimate day at work today...'

Following the show Alex took to Instagram once again to share a cosy snap with Emma and Matt, as she revealed it's the last time she will be sharing the presenting sofa with him until the autumn when she returns.

Next to the image of the smiling trio, Alex penned: 'And that’s my penultimate show before the bubba done, my last one with Matthew.

'It feels so weird to be saying goodbye, but it’s only temporary, the Autumn will come round soon enough. I’ll miss the team and lovely viewers but I’m looking forward to being just mama for a little while.'

During the interview with Emma, Alex and Matt quizzed her on the recent climate change protests and her upcoming role in the new Men In Black film.

Discussing the climate change groups, she said: 'They are an amazing bunch  I went and walked with one of the organisers. I was so impressed with a young generation.
