The axe has finally fallen on Channel Ten game show Pointless.
Following rumours of its demise in February, TV Blackbox reported on Saturday that the network has dropped the troubled format from their prime time schedule.
The industry publication claims the last installment will air next Friday.

'We can confirm that the very final episode of Pointless will air Friday May 10th. That completes the airing of all episodes filmed,' the article started.
The local version of the UK quiz show registered an average 220,000 average viewers in nightly Metro 5 Capital City OzTam ratings.
The format was slammed by viewers as the 'worst show ever' after making its Australian debut in July, and the program continued to drop in the ratings in the subsequent months it aired.
