Mummy Diaries long-awaited wedding special left die-hard fans weeping with joy on Wednesday night, as they finally saw the moment that Billie Faiers and Greg Shepherd tied the knot.

In a 90-minute special the couple finally said 'I do' in front of 95 guests in a beautiful Maldives ceremony, after five years together and over a year of planning to reach the big moment.

Viewers took to Twitter to share their delight at finally seeing the couple exchange their vows, after the build-up was fraught with drama and chaos.

Despite a frantic day which saw Greg waiting in the hot sunshine, the groom was left stunned as Billie finally made her way down the aisle in a beautiful lace wedding gown.

As they exchanged their vows, the delighted couple admitted that they were completely entranced by one another, as Greg paid a cheeky tribute to Billie's amazing figure by joking she had 'the best a**e in the business.'

Sam also paid a touching tribute to her sister in an incredibly moving speech that the mother-of-two close to tears.

She said: 'It feels like yesterday when we were all standing in the sea in Ibiza, and I said to Greg ''you fancy my sister don't you?'' and he said ''yes.'' I told Billie straight away.

And as Billie and Greg were finally declared husband and wife - and sealed the moment with a kiss to Mr Blue Sky by The Electric Light Orchestra - fans wept with joy as they congratulated the couple with an endless sea of tweets.

As the family finally touched down after a 12 hour flight, Billie admitted all of the stress that came with preparing for the wedding disappeared, as she reflected with Greg ahead of the big day.

Greg asked his wife-to-be: 'We are finally here -  this is it - how long ago since we come here?'

Billie responded: 'Almost a year ago. My stress levels went from there to like nothing, there's always a little bit of anxiety about the day, but I just felt so excited about it all.'  

'It'll be quite emotional but exciting - do you feel emotional?'

Greg then added: 'I think it's important for us to take a it of time out every now and again.'

As Sam and Billie enjoyed a relaxing drink with their mum, Greg's mum and their nan Liz, the siblings learned a hilarious secret about the family matriarch.

The sisters were left speechless as Liz admitted she's enjoyed a skinny dip in the swimming pool with her husband of 50 years.

The next day, as Billie and Sam prepared to welcome their 95 guests to the Island ahead of the big day, viewers learned that their step-dad Dave had been thrown off the flight.

Clearly distressed that he may not arrive in time to walk her down the aisle, Billie said: 'When I first got the phone call about dad not making it ont the flight, I thought it was a wind-up I thought he's not going to mess up with this one.

Greg added: 'They delayed the flight for an hour and a half to get his bags on the flight. If he does get there, you two need to sit down and I said to him on the phone.'
