Cricket mates Matt Gawthrop and Luke Stewart were crowned winners of My Kitchen Rules on Sunday night, sparking outrage among fans. 

And the show's resident 'villain', Josh Bonwick, claimed this week that runners-up Ibby Moubadder and Romel Kouyan should have won the competition. 

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia at Nova's Red Room in Sydney on Monday, Josh hinted that he believes the finale was rigged.

'All throughout the competition, the food that Matt and Luke served was either under-cooked, very average or didn't taste great, but their presentation was perfect,' said Josh. 

'So it tasted like garbage but looked great on television.'
