Georgia Harrison EXC: Star says The Skillet is everything Mike Thalassitis ...

Georgia Harrison has admitted that The Skillet opening was 'bittersweet' and that the restaurant is everything late friend Mike Thalassitis could have dreamed of.

The Essex restaurant was opened last weekend in memory of the late Love Island star, who was tragically found dead in woodland near his Edmonton home aged 26 in March, leaving his family and friends devastated.

Georgia, who was on Love Island at the same time as Mike, attended the The Skillet launch with fellow contestant and close pal Montana Brown to show their support.

The restaurant, which was opened by his business partner, donated all drink proceeds taken over the weekend to mental health charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably).

Talking exclusively to MailOnline at her GHX Style launch party in London, Georgia said: 'The Skillet was amazing, it was bittersweet but to see what they've achieved is amazing.

'Me and Mon [Montana] used to always talk to Mike about his plans for the cafe and it’s everything he could of dreamed of and more. The food is so impressive!

'I wish he could have been there to see it. I just hope that he’s with his [business] partner and he won’t be doing it alone because he’s a lovely man. If you met him [business partner] he deserves the world.'

Since its opening, several of Mike's former Love Island co-stars and celebrity pals have visited the restaurant including Sam Gowland, Jonny Mitchell and Marcel Somerville.
