She's made the transition from model to actress in recent years.

And now Suki Waterhouse, 27, beamed as she walked the red carpet for the premiere of her latest cinematic endeavour, Pokemon Detective Pikachu, on Thursday night in New York.

The Love, Rosie star, who was discovered in a London pub by a model agent when she was just 16, made sure to command attention in a strapless fifties-style gown as she posed for photos. 

The British beauty's strapless number featured a bow-detailed bodice, which trailed down her full floral-printed skirt.

The style maven's retro-inspired look boasted a high-low hem that drew attention to her pointed black stilettos.

Suki offset her look by working her sandy-coloured locks off her face and into a sleek look down her back.

The Insurgent actress, who has also been in New York for the Tribeca Film Festival, complemented her vintage-inspired look with a bold red lip and feline flick.
