Looking back: Bill Wyman, 82, has opened up on his regret of marrying Mandy Smith because of their 34 year age gap
Age-gap: Mandy first met the bass guitar player in the mid-80's at the age of 13
In the film, Wyman defends his relationship with her ex teenage wife by sharing: 'It was from the heart. It wasn’t lust, which people were seeing it as.'
Reflecting on the decision to marry the young blonde, he added: 'I was really stupid to ever think it could possibly work. She was too young. I felt she had to go out and see life for a bit.'
Big day: The couple married when Mandy reached the legal age of eighteen and divorced two years later in 1991
