The Break-Up star, a resident of the Southern California beach community, was not present at the hearing, as his attorney entered the plea on his behalf, the outlet reported. As a result of the plea, the Wedding Crashers actor will be placed on a three-year informal probation; mandated to attend an alcohol education class; and pay fines that total near $1,700, according to the outlet. Vaughn, according to The Press-Telegram, will be given the U.S. Army Meritorious Public Service Medal June 8 at Long Beach's Westin Hotel in front of a crowd of 400 soldiers and their family and friends. The actor has past taken three tours with the USO and arranged for the troops to see advanced screenings, the army said, lauding his portrayal of Sgt. Howell in the 2016 World War II drama Hacksaw Ridge.
