The 39 year old actress/writer shared her excitement for the Met Gala on her Instagram story on Monday afternoon, showing a hint of her gold dress.
She also shared a photo that showcased all of her Met Gala 'lewks' throughout the years before she hit the red carpet.

When she did show up at the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, she turned heads with a blonde wig and a stunning gown.
The Mindy Project star and creator wore a stunning gold shimmering Moschino gown, an off-shoulder dress with an elaborate bow tying off the dress at her right shoulder.
She also wore glitter 'Blade' pumps from Casadei, nails by the Luxuria Nail Bar with elegant gold rings and elegant gold earrings with large crystals dangling from them.
The actress revealed on https://twitter.com/mindykaling/status/1125537766920429568 Monday afternoon that she was styled by Jason Bolden, with makeup by Janice Kinjo, hair by Marc Mena and jewels by David Webb.

Before her red carpet appearance on Monday afternoon, Kaling took to her Instagram story to share how excited she was about the big event.
'I am so excited about today,' Kaling began. I love my dress. It just feels so on point. But you know what hasn't been on point? My skin.'
'I think my skin is freaking out because of the flight from Los Angeles but I do all the things,' Kaling added.
