And on Tuesday the studio announced the release dates for the first trilogy. The films release dates are set for December 16, 2022, December 12, 2024 and December 18, 2026.

Rian Johnson is writing his own trilogy, while Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and DB Weiss are crafting their own.
