The biopic Tolkien, about the early life of the author of The Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings trilogy, opens in movie theatres on Friday.
But those who couldn't wait to see it were able to take in a special screening Tuesday night along with a Q&A between die-hard Tolkien fan Stephen Colbert and the film's stars Lily Collins and Nicholas Hoult.
The event was held at the Montclair Film Festival in New Jersey and was beamed love to cinemas nationwide.
