The Australian actor began what will be a mammoth 92 date world tour in the Scottish city, where a packed SSE Hyrdo was entertained with songs from The Greatest Showman, Les Misérables and The Boy From Oz. The musical also included an appearance from Greatest Showman Bearded Lady Keala Settle, who surprised concert goers with a rendition of hit This Is Me. The Show Fans gave an energetic Jackman and his 70 cast and crew members - among them a live orchestra - a standing ovation following a hugely successful opening night. Taking to Twitter, one impressed audience member raved: 'BEST NIGHT EVER!! show A...MA....ZING! Hugh is the greatest showman. To all who have tickets for future shows, Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy xx' Others praised the star for employing local talent to fill his backing cast, which included impressive American actress and singer Keala Settle. While show tunes played from the hit movie interspersed with pop he and his guests enjoyed cases upon cases of Tattinger Champagne. High praise: The enthusiastic tweets continued to roll in long after the final curtain dropped The Australian born star and his entourage also asked for a private chef to work through the night while they danced and partied until the small hours at the hotel. Jackman has spared no expense treating his entourage while they have been in the city. Last Saturday he decided to throw a welcoming party for his dancers, singers and roadies at the Blythswood Hotel, where is staying in a £2,500 a night penthouse.
