The Rolling Stones announce rescheduled North American tour dates

The Rolling Stones have announced that they have rescheduled their North American tour which was postponed at the start of last month.  

Mick Jagger, 75, underwent surgery to replace a valve in his heart but has made such a swift recovery that he's quite literally, ready to rock 'n' roll again. 

All the cities from the previous postponed shows are locked in, with full details of 17 concerts announced on Thursday.

The tour was first scheduled to run from April 20 to July 29.

When the news broke, a rep for the band said: 'Mick Jagger has been advised by doctors that he cannot go on tour at this time as he needs medical treatment. 

'The doctors have advised Mick that he is expected to make a complete recovery so that he can get back on stage as soon as possible.'

The Stones No Filter tour will now kick off in Chicago with two shows, June 21 and June 25.

It will then head for Burl’s Creek, ON on June 29 followed by dates in Washington DC, Foxboro, East Rutherford, Philadelphia, Houston, Jacksonville, a new show in New Orleans, Denver, Seattle, Santa Clara, Pasadena, Glendale and rounding up in Miami on August 31, 2019. 

A spokesperson for the band said: 'Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood can’t wait to get back out on the road again bringing the No Filter show for the very first time to American and Canadian fans. 

There will be classic hits such as Sympathy For The Devil, Paint It Black, Brown Sugar, Miss You, It’s Only Rock N Roll, and many more.

Mick proved that he is back to his best on Wednesday, when he shared a video of himself practising his famously energetic dance moves just weeks after surgery. 

Performing in front of a large mirror, he showed off his signature moves to the song, Techno Fan by The Wombats.
